FOTN

Hey Dolls :)

Tonight I'm going out for Nick's mums birthday which was a perfect opportunity to try some new products I've recently acquired...

Face - Bourjois Bio-Detox foundation/MAC MSF Natural/Illamasqua Bronzing Duo/MAC Bite of an Apple Blush

Eyes - Illamasqua Precision Ink Liquid Liner/ YSL Faux Cils Mascara
Lips - MAC Toxic Tale Lipstick
My favorite product of the moment has to be Illamasqua's Precision Ink - it's so long lasting and gives such a smooth line! I also love toxic tale - I don't own any similar colours as coral is not a colour I would typically choose, I really like it though!!
What have you beauties been buying lately?
Love

Elle Macpherson Calming Sugar Scrub

Hey Dolls :)
A product I have been absolutely loving using over the last couple of weeks is Elle Macpherson's calming sugar scrub, so much so today I went and purchased a couple of other products from the line that I'm rather excited to try!

The scrub is from the 'self' range which is 'a collection of products for me. Use them to calm your senses and nurture your spirit'. Can't you just imagine Elle saying that in her soft calm voice? The scrub is a vibrant purple colour and when you look in the tub it is really quite thick in consistency. However, it is quite sticky to the touch and melts into a delicious exfoliating oil.

It's quite heavily scented with lavender oil which I personally love but could understand why it isn't every ones cup of tea. After using the scrub my skin is left incredibly soft and supple but also moisturised - it isn't an overly abrasive scrub which I like! However sadly it isn't all positive. It's really quite messy to use and as I use mine in the shower, the product has got a little wet which has definitely aggravated the stickiness factor!

You get 475 ml for around £10 which I think is a good deal as I can see already it's going to last quite a while! I'd love to hear if you've tried anything from the range?

Quit Yo Jibba Jabba

Hey Dolls :)

Tonight I fancied a little catch up with ya'll!! Hope you're all dandy! I'm a little bit lonered tonight, Nick's away to Belfast for the weekend on hockey orientated business so I've came home from work, munched some leftover Chinese, watched x-factor and sang rather loudly along to the West Side Story soundtrack - a rather productive evening I'm sure you'll agree ha.

Right now my life has pretty much revolved around balancing uni, work and my social life. I've just started my fourth and final year at uni which means one thing - dissertation! This is a tiny sliver of the reading that's piling up around me...

So apart plowing my way through every single book Alasdair Gray has ever written I have been spending time with my beautiful friends doing silly things like acting out scenes from Twilight when drunk and singing Disney songs round a piano.

Also, Nick and I have been trying to be more cultured by visiting lots of museums...however this has mostly resulted in lots of dressing up and childish giggles...

As I've been locking myself away in the library an album I have been absolutely LOVING is Mark Ronson & The Business Intl 'Record Collection'. If you haven't heard it get your booty on Spotify and listen. Here's my favorite song Somebody to Love Me with Boy George (one of my favorite people)

I really have made some lovely friends through blogging and would love to meet some lovely new people so if you haven't said hello yet please do! You can also follow me on twitter here .

Lots of Love

September Favorites

Hey Dolls :)
Say whaaaaaa? I cannot believe that it is October, where the devil did September go? Here are my favorite products from September...

1. Good Things Dream Cream

I am not a particular fan of night creams as I normally find them too thick and heavy. However this little pot has turned my opinion around. Firstly it smells delicious with Fig and Avocado and I can still smell it in the morning. Secondly it is thick in consistency in the pot but it melts into my skin quickly rather than leaving my skin feeling weighed down...

In the morning dream cream has left my skin feeling soft and supple, I'm really impressed! On top of that I got two products for £8 - total bargain!

2. GOSH Lift Me Up Foundation

Oh my goodness - I am in love with the foundation. I'm wearing it in the post below and love the way it looks. Consistency wise it's really quite thick but once applied it sinks into the skin really nicely and doesn't create that mask-type feeling. As for the coverage it's medium and is quite long lasting with a dusting of powder. I'm always a little apprehensive to try new face products as my skin is quite temperamental but I'm happy to report it's left me break out free!

3. Umberto Giannini Intense Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner

I recently bought this shampoo and conditioner from Boots and have seen a noticeable change in the condition of my hair. It feels really shiny and healthy without feeling weighed down. The products smell nice, quite fresh and the fragrance actually lasts in my hair. I also think the bottles look lovely in my bathroom!

4. Duo Lash Glue

I have tried many different types of lash glue but hands down Duo is the best. Stuck with Duo, lashes don't move, in fact it can sometimes be slightly painful to remove lashes (not in a bad way if that makes sense). If you're a fan of false lashes and haven't tried Duo, I urge you to buy a tube now!

5. M.A.C Hang Loose

I've been wearing Hang Loose lots over the last couple weeks and remembered how lovely it is!

6. Honey I washed the kids...

This has been in my favorites numerous time and this week we have been reunited! I was trying to stop buying Lush soaps as I always end up spending around £10 on one bar which is rather steep. However, when mooching about trying to avoid the rain honey I washed the kids was just sat there in the corner of lush willing me to take it home... and of course I had to oblige.

I'm sure you've heard it all before, smells delish, lathers well, looks pretty!

Lots of Love

Funsies

Hey Dolls :)
Last night I went to go see James Buckley (Jay from the Inbetweeners) DJ in town and have to say I was a wee bit disappointed - he came off as if he didn't want to be there, he barely even looked up from playing with his phone whilst DJing...we had a good time anyways! Here's what I wore...

I absolutely love this dress from River Island, it has fierce shoulder pads with silver studs which unfortunately you can't really see in this photo! Also my bag is from Internacional - now I'm in no way a snob but I was under the impression that Internacional was quite cheap and tacky however as a last resort trying to find a silver chain bag I popped in and was pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful bag - hooray!

On my face...
