The INNA Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards 2013 Event

On Monday, I attended an event hosted by INNA.com for a preview of the nominees for this years Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards.  The event was held in Glasgow's Apartment 29 where I met up with Clare and Lauren from Wake Up Your Luck.  The Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards are held by INNA.com (I need an appointment), and allows Scottish salons to be recognised for all the brilliant work they do.  INNA.com allows you to search and book hair and beauty appointments in real time - I've used INNA.com in the past and it's a brilliant and easy way of booking appointments while also helping me find new local salons to try!

The event began with talks from both the founders of INNA and guest Lauren Goodger. The founders of INNA were absolutely lovely and obviously so passionate about their business and the awards (and also the influence of bloggers which was nice to hear!) - they had recently conducted a survey and found that 45% of people surveyed had never treated themselves to treatment in a professional salon!  Lauren Goodger then took to the podium and spoke to us about her own beauty business, Lauren's Way.  I've tried the Lauren's Way tanning mousse and really liked it so was excited to hear about other products from the range.

After the talks were done, we were able to wander around a networking room where some of the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards sponsors - Bare Minerals, Lauren's Way, GHD and Bumble and Bumble, were doing live demonstrations.  The whole night was brilliant - I got to talk about beauty and blogging all night and met so many lovely like minded people.

Clare volunteered to be a demonstration model for Bare Minerals and looked beautiful! Dark berry lip colours look amazing on her skin tone!
