Hello :)
This evening Nick's taking me out for dinner and to see New Moon for the second time (i'm Team Jacob and have been so well before the films came out which causes so many arguments between my friends and I ha ha) so I decided to wear my new MASSIVE corsage I bought from H&M the other day...
Now I know some people will probably think this looks ridiculous but I love love love it!! I think it looks really cute and girly as well as I'm trying to grow my fringe out at the minute so anything that keeps it out of my eyes is welcome :). Also this photo shows my fail safe eye combination of MAC's All That Glitters and Carbon, I know its not very imaginative but it's so easy!!
I'm also wearing a new dress I bought in New Look (I'm turning into such a New Look Ho!) though the photo doesn't really do it justice...
It's a gorgeous dress with gold thread detailing running through it and was only £16!! Anyway, I'm off for some chicken tama rice, duck gyoza and some Jacob Black ;)

Lily Allen
Hello :)
Last night I went to see Lily Allen, she was A-MAAAAZING!! I really love her music, style everything!! I just wanted to show everyone a quick photo of what I was wearing...
I got the most gorgeous sequined jacket from New look for £30!! Whatta bargain, my dress is also from New Look. I had such a camera fail so all the photos of my make up were deleted. I was so annoyed as I wanted to show the Cheryl Cole false lashes which I LOVE!
Also, how amazing is Kirsty's Farrah Fawcett hair ha ha

Best of the Drugstore
Hello :)
Taking a break from essay writing to share my drugstore favorites. I have only included five but could have went on and on so I may do another one soon :)
I LOVE bastiste. This is the diva version but my favorite is probably the tropical one. I love bastiste for 'in between' days, when i'm at the gym and also to add volume to my hair on a night out. I really want to try the new shampoo for dark hair avoiding 'granny hair', has anyone else tried it?
I adore this fake tan. When I have the money, I do like St Tropez and Xen tan though being honest, I actually like the colour of sublime and you can find it for under £10. However, the only downside to the tan is it does carry quite a strong biscuity smell.
Playing and experimenting with dazzle dusts and pigments is one of my favorite cures for boredom. Dazzle Dusts have been a favourite of mine ever since I got an 'Eat My Dazzle Dust' sticker free with a copy of Bliss years and years ago ha ha. These three colours are three of my favourites...top to bottom 27 Gold Iridescent, 53 Chocolate and 52 Silver Brown.
I switch mascaras so often and barely stick to the same one twice with the exception of Benefit's Bad Gal Lash. Saying that, this is my second tube in a row of this...it must be love! On my first wearing false effect someone asked if I was wearing false lashes...Speaks for itself really!
I have bought all of the gosh brushes and I really do think they are amazing quality. Sorry, I couldn't take a picture of all my brushes, they're dryin after a good ol' wash. I really love the angled liner brush and the two pictured above and would definitely recommend them. The only one I would not recommened is the duo fibre brush as it sheds like mad!
I'd love to hear your drugstore favourites!!

Bag Love
Hello :)
For the last month I have been trying to track down the most bee-utifull bag from River Island which I spotted when doing some window shopping a while ago. I recently got my quarterly bonus so decided to treat myself and alas I couldn't find it anywhere...untill today!!!!! It was the last one in the shop and properly cheered me up on this horribly rainy day...
Note the Jonathan Creek Boxset and Wii remote, the ways to kill time when there's coursework to do!
I think it is my version of bag heaven...it was £44.99 from River Island if anyone wants to snap it up. With the amount of love I feel for it, it pays for itself :).
I'd love to see or hear about everyone elses bag heavens :)

EOTD
Hello :)
I posted last month that I had bought the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol II. Since I bought it I have pretty much used it every day in one form or another, I have to say, it's love. Here's a quick picture of the look I created (v.quickly) today...
All over the lid I used Ecstasy which is a gorgeous purple colour. It's quite light so it's best used wet or layered. I then used AC/DC on the outer corner of my eye. To blend out any harsh edges and as a highlight I used Benefits Two Minute Powder as well as in my inner corner and finished it all off with Benefit's bad gal pencil and Max Factor's False Lash effect mascara.
I really do love the way purple looks against brown/hazel eyes!
In a previous post I raved about Lush's American Cream Conditioner, here is an example why...
I have used no other products (except aussie shampoo) and haven't even straightened my hair...i have natural curls. The conditioner makes my hair so soft and shiny and STRAIGHT!!! It's an early Christmas Miracle ha ha

Winter Brrrrrrr
Hello :)
I'm so excited that winter's kicking in, I love winter and all the snuggly clothes and dark make up that comes with it. Sadly in Scotland our winters seem to be more wet and miserable rather than cold and crisp which is why i'm so excited to be going to New York for a week in December. In preperation, I've been looking out for some bargains to take away with me to keep warm. I'm a total hat person so when I spotted this grey hat and glove set I had to have them. They were only £5 each from Asda! Queue silly photos...
I love the bright pink lovehearts :)
Let me know if you've found any other wooly bargains

A Spot of Shopping
Hello :)
Big Shampoo: I have never really been a fan of any Lush shampoo, particularly none of the solid shampoos but I've read so many good things about Big that I'm going to give it a shot...I love the smell and I'm so intrigued as it looks more like a body scrub than a shampoo, i'll let you all know how I get on.
In The Body Shop I picked up a kabuki brush as my m.a.c one has disappeared :(. The Body Shop one is wonderfully soft and I'm really looking forward to trying it out with my MSF Natural tomorrow. In Boots I visited the benefit counter and picked up their One Hot Minute Powder. It's such a beautiful powder and gives a gorgeous sheen to the skin. It's described as a rose gold though as with many benefit products it is a little pricey at about £23 :|. Finally, i've been on the lookout for a new night cream, I'm really happy with my morning cleansing routine as i've been using the Liz Earle system however I just couldn't find a night cream I liked. After all the love the botanics range has been getting I decided to pick up their night cream so again I'll let you know what I think!!
I LOVE it...it sums up Gill's sense of humour perfectly!!!
I hope everyone's having a good week so far!! Today I had the day off of Uni so decided to do a spot of shopping. I originally went to try and find a dress to wear to Lily Allen (and I was successful yay!) but managed to get sidetracked in boots and lush...I really am quite lucky that Nick is so sensible with money, I am terrible and have absolutely no will power whatsoever when it comes to pretty things!!
I popped into lush to have a quick look at their christmas line and I ended up leaving with...
American Cream Conditioner: Hands down my favourite Lush product ever. This conditioner is probably my idea of smell heaven, it's a lovely vanilla smell but doesn't come across as that horrible synthetic vanilla type scent you often get. It is also a miracle worker, after using it, you hair is wonderfully soft and shiny, genuinely I can't recommend this conditioner enough, even Nick got excited when I brought it home today haha!
Snow Fairy: It's the cult Lush Christmas product, at first smell, snow fairy can come across as sickeningly sweet but once it lathers up the smell really calms down...lovely! Also, i noticed that you can now get a solid perfume and a bath melt in the snow fairy scent so you can smell fairy-like the whole year round!!
Lil Lush Pud: Such a cute little bath bomb, usually I prefer the bath melts but I couldn't resist how cute this little bomb was, it has such a lovely, slightly spicy scent, everytime I walk past my bathroom I keep poking my head in to have a sniff!!
I also popped into Boots and The body Shop...

Finally, I just wanted to show you the birthday card my sister bought for my mum, it made me giggle for about 10 minutes (sorry about the picture, my flash refused to turn off)
I LOVE it...it sums up Gill's sense of humour perfectly!!!

HOTD
Hello :)
In this picture I used my babylis conical wand which I really am loving as it gives you waves rather than curls! I'm no expert on hair but I think styling extensions in this way makes them appear a lot more natural? I'm going to continue to style my extensions using different tools and I would love if you all could tell me what you think?
I've been experimenting with my hair extensions recently now that my hair is back to my normal colour and I am beginning to like them more and more! I've been using the infamous clip-inz and i've got to say believe the hype! They're probably the best extensions i've ever used but I wont bore you with a review as I think it's all been said before :D
Also, for anyone who owns extensions, how on earth do you store them? Mine are currently hanging on a coat hanger :/ Surely there's got to be a better way ha ha ha!?!?

Shopping :)
Hello :)
I got this cardi from Topshop, I think it was about £25, I love it, I think the bows are dead cute! I then had to run to Accesorize as I wanted some new hair clips...
I love the look of red clips against dark hair, I think my favourites are the roses but I love the swallow too. I also managed to sneak two necklaces into my basket, recently i've been layering delicate gold chains, I think it looks so pretty so I got two more to add to my collection :)
How sweet is the little russian doll? Hope everyone has a brilliant weekend, I'm working tomorrow but have Sunday off for my mum's birthday, what are your plans??
How is everyone?? Today I met my besties for a trip to the cinema, we went to see Fantastic Mr Fox, has anyone seen it?? It's so so wierd but hilarious, though we were the only ones laughing ha ha. Also we went and prebooked our New Moon tickets.
Anyways, I managed to fit in a spot of shopping (Sadly no make up) as I was only allowed to go to Topshop and Accesorize :(. Anyway, I got a few things that I wanted to show you...

Cupcake :)
Hello :)
Hope everyone's having a good evening! I'm just going to do a quick review on Lush's fresh face mask cupcake. I have been a lover of Lush for a long long time (thanks to my lovely friend Cheryl) and Cupcake has always been one of my favourite Lush goodies!! Cupcake is one of the most gorgeous smelling face masks I have tried and I always end up repurchasing it! On the tub it reads
'Chocolate heaven for oily and teenage skin: Its action removes excess oils and calms breakouts. Rhassoul Mud cleans and soothes. Cocoa butter, Linseed and cocoa Poweder soften the skin. Balancing pepermint, Spearmint and Sandalwood oils complete this effective and delicious experience.'
I usually use Cupcake when i'm having a pampering sesh in the bath. I slap it on, leave for 10 minutes and then remove with warm water and a natural sponge. It is not an invigarating mask where after your skin feels squeeky clean, rather it's more soothing and moisturising.
Ha ha sexual! And yes I forgot to take my eyeliner off! Cupcake is everything I want in a face mask, it's gooey and messy, totally reminds me of sleepovers I used to have when I was 12. We would find the messiest face mask possible and take lots of silly photos. As always, you do have to keep the mask in the fridge and it can be a bit messy to use but I think that's part of the fun. If you haven't tried it, Cupcake's a brilliant first Lush face mask, purely if it is for the smell yum!
Hope everyone had a brilliant halloween, I was working on the Sunday so just had a quiet night in the flat with Nick, homemade toffee apples and the Lost Boys (I loved the 80's hair!). I'm more excited about bonfire night, i'll be spending it at the big display on Glasgow Green, gloves and sparklers at the ready!!
Lots of Love
