Toni&Guy Hair Care Review

Hello :)

Today I'm going to review three products out of the Toni&Guy Dark Brunette Range; The Dark Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner and the Shimmer Mist for all Brunettes.

In terms of the shampoo and conditioner, I do like them, particularly the smell. However, being honest I can't say I've seen much difference in the colour of my hair. Particularly with the shampoo, it doesn't produce much of a lather and in a shampoo I love a really thick lather. However, I recently read a magazine article that said it's just chemicals that cause shampoo to foam up and has no relation to how well the shampoo cleans your hair hmmm....

However, the shimmer mist is really different! Basically it's a hair spray of sorts, it adds texture to your hair which is brilliant for me when I go out as my hair is usually backcombed to an edge of its life ha ha. However, it also adds colour and a sheer gold shimmer.

In the photo you can see the iridescent gold-like sheen the mist gives, if you do plan on trying the mist just try and dispense it evenly through your hair as the first time I used I had a huge patch that was lighter than the rest of my hair :(

I would definitely repurchase the shimmer mist for going out hair, but not too sure about the shampoo and conditioner...

Hope you all have a brilliant day

Nailene So Natural Review

Hello :)

In my last post I shared a photo of the falsies I had been wearing for the last few days. I'm really impressed with them! At first I wasn't too sure if false nails were for me but I have grown to love them...Here's a better photo of them on.

The first thing to say about them are how comfortable they are to wear. I picked the short length nails meaning they don't get in the way, I can even text easily with them on! Also I'm really happy with how long the glue lasts. This is my eighth day of use (including a very drunken night out ha ha) which is pretty much unheard of with me and press on falsies!

Another brilliant thing is the fact that there are 18 sizes of nail within the pack meaning everyone should find enough variety to find a press on that is ideal for each of their natural nails.

I know they're a tad on the tacky side but I can't help but love them...Also I should say my manager in work is also an acrylics technician and didn't believe they were press ons!! I got these in boots for about £6 I think :)

Also I just wanted to show you a silly picture of me and Nick (my bf) wearing our geeky 3D glasses at Up last night ha ha

Who else cried at up?? I surely can't be the only one, those glasses came in handy to hide my blotchy face ha ha.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol 2

Hello :)

I have an actual day off both uni and work *miracle* so I thought I would talk about the new UD book of shadows. I went out last night and used this for the first time so will try and find some good photos of the look I made for a later post. So here's what it looks like

So as usual you get the mini primer potion and two travel size versions of the 24/7 pencil in zero and bourbon. In total there are 16 eyeshadows so now onto the swatches...

L-R Perversion, Gunmetal, Ecstasy and AC/DC

L-R Nylon, Sellout, Mushroom, Spynx

L-R Half Baked, Twice Baked, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, YDK

L-R Jinx, Flipside, Homegrown, Misdemeanor

I really do love all of the colours in this set, I think my favourites are Gunmetal, AC/DC and Mushroom. I only have two slight criticisms. First Midnight Cowboy Rides Again is packed full of chunky glitter = lots of fallout. The only other thing is a bit silly but its the colour of the packaging. White packaging and pigmented shadows means the box is already looking a little grubby and i've been so careful with it boo :(.

Also I just wanted to share a photo of my tact-tastic nails, I'm so undecided ha ha

So has anyone else tried the book of shadows? What are your thoughts?

Hair

Hello :)

I am one of those people who get bored so quickly with my hair...it's constantly chopping and changing in style and colour. However I felt it was time to go back to my roots (oh ha ha!) and go au natural and here it is dum dum duuuuum I present my natural hair colour...

And i've got to say it feels good! Particularly with red hair you're quite limited in the colours you can wear make up wise however with dark brown you pretty much have free reign yay! If anyone's interested I used L'oreal Recital Preference in Brasilia Dark Brown. Let me know what you think.

Whats in My Bag

Hello :)

So I thought I'd start off with something easy so i've joined in on the whats in your bag tag (ha ha)...I love watching and reading these (although my bf does say it's a little creepy/nosey). So first of all here's a picture of my bag...

It's from Pauls Boutique, I have quite a few PB bags...one of my friends said to me the other day you need to leave Paul and his Boutique alone ha ha! And heres everything that I carry in my bag....

So now I'll quickly go through everything (I'll make the photos a bit smaller so this isnt a MASSIVE post but you can click to enlarge)

This is my make up bag, I wont go through whats in it as that would make this far too long but may make a seperate post if anyones interested. Also there's my purse from River Island and my diary :)

My Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream (love), Lush Lemony Flutter and Carex Aloe Vera hand gel (this actually smells quite nice as sanatisers go!)

Boring deoderant, Aussie Volume + Gloss hairspray (really in two minds
about this hairspray as it has been to known to turn my crown into a horrible greasy mess) and Miss Dior Cherie - does anyone else think this perfume smells like Soap and Glory? Yum!

My ipod (its an oldie but a goodie ha), my brolly, kirbys, rosey vaseline, keys and my vintage ray bans

I hope this post wasn't too boring but it was more about me trying to master Html (nightmare!). Anyways I went shopping with Nick earlier so have some urban decay and m.a.c goodies to show you in my next post.

First Post :)

Hello :)

For the last year I have been a silent lover of the you tube and blogger make up community, however today I've decided to become involved! I'm going to start routine posts on everything beauty and hair related and help share the love :D

So i'm off to get my thinking cap on about what my first post should be...just so you can put a face to the voice this is me (I'm the one on the right).

Lots of Love
